Flying

For commercial flights we recommend Duluth International Airport (DLH), which is the closest Regional Airport (approximately 90 miles from Bayfield, WI). It is serviced by Delta and United Airlines as well as all major car rental agencies. Delta offers five daily flights from Minneapolis to Duluth. United has five daily flights from Chicago to Duluth. The frequency of these connections makes it easy to schedule your travel.

Plan to arrive to Duluth Airport the day before your workshop starts no later than 3:00 pm in order to get to MISA in time to check in and attend our Welcome Reception.

For departure, you may fly home on the last day of your workshop or the next day. If you chose to fly out the next day, you may either stay an extra night at MISA ($150) and fly out no earlier than 11 am, or take the shuttle to Duluth Friday afternoon and stay at a hotel near the airport.

 MISA/Duluth Airport Shuttle

We offer round trip shuttle service from Duluth International Airport to your room on campus.  The cost for the shuttle is $170 per trip and includes your ferry charges.  If you are planning to use the shuttle service, please call the Registrar at 715-747-2054, or send an email to misa@madelineschool.com. We tailor our shuttle schedule around our students needs. There will not be a wait over an hour or so, if any.

Shuttle arrangements must be made with our office no later than three weeks in advance of your course date.  Feel free to call us directly at 715-747-2054 and we will be happy to help you coordinate your flight and travel arrangements.
