In October 2020 Jack Graham will be leading a photography workshop in and around beautiful Madeline Island, Wisconsin. Join Jack to discover the beauty that encompasses the areas in and around Madeline Island. This workshop will feature photographing the amazing fall landscape as well as the diverse intimate locations on the island and adjacent locations. (We will get over to the quaint harbor and town of Bayfield Wi.). We will also spend time photographing the amazing night sky over the Apostle Islands. This is an all-encompassing event Dramatic shorelines, picturesque harbors and colorful forests are common, and just a small part of the overall experience.
We will spend time in the field and in our classroom discussing the technical aspects of nature photography, however we spend considerable time learning hoe wo “see”. We work on Visualization techniques and getting most of the available light.
Lake Superior often feels like an ocean. If offers dramatic as well as many rugged but compelling beaches. Nearby are small reflective ponds often in fog that provide a totally different photographic experience.
In these uncrowded locations, we’ll have time and endless subject matter are our beck and call.
Presentations on the technical and Artistic aspects (reading light, seeing images) of Nature and travel Photography will be conducted over the course of the workshop.
This workshop is NOT a workshop on processing images. However, processing is part of the experience and we will discuss processing somewhat. Please bring a laptop with whatever program(s) you may use to process.
