Join professional photographer Mike Mezeul II, as he leads students through the magnificently stunning Apostle Islands of Lake Superior. During this five day workshop, students will be filling their camera's frame with everything from lighthouses to sea caves to the starry skies and more! Shooting is scheduled for every morning and evening. Post-processing sessions will take place during the middle of the day in MISA’s fully equipped photography studio where students will learn how to edit their images to bring in that extra pop of life!
Mid-week, MISA's 80 passenger cruise ship will take students to Devils Island's lichen covered sea caves, Michigan Island’s lighthouses, an all-night photo shoot of the Milky Way, star-trails, and meteor showers– in the darkest part of the Great Lake. Dinner, snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the evening.
In this workshop, students will learn the following: how to create compelling landscape and seascape imagery, how to utilize a variety of focal lengths, how to capture night sky images (weather permitting), how to utilize focus stacking and panoramic techniques, and how to edit their images using both Lightroom Classic & Photoshop.
