William B. (Skip) Lawrence, received a B.F.A. degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art and M.A. degree from Towson University. His book, Painting Light and Shadow in Watercolor, was published in 1994. Skip is editor-and-chief of “The Palette Magazine.”
Skip has taught high school at Howard County, MD (1966-1972), Prince Georges College (1974-1984) where he taught drawing, painting, art history, and sculpture (metal welding). Since 1976, he has conducted 15-30 painting workshops a year, in all but 5 states. Skip paints in watercolor, oil, and acrylic and can help with any of these media.
