David Lobenberg has emerged onto the national and international art scene with his signature “California Vibe Watercolor Portraiture” style that pops with expressive colors and paint applications. His California Vibe workshop activity has expanded from California to Nevada, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Utah, Arizona, Nebraska, and Florida.
David teaches at venues such as Art in the Mountains, the Utah Watercolor Society, the Society Of Western Artists, Northwest Pacific Art School, and the Madeline Island School of the Arts. Over the last five years, his work has been exhibited and published in Europe (Pratique Des Art and The Art of Watercolour magazines), the Middle East (International Watercolor Society where he was asked to be a demonstration artist at their annual international watercolor festival in Turkey), Asia (he was invited by the Thailand Ministry of Culture to participate in the First International Water Media Exhibition and has recently been invited by a Chinese book publisher to be included in a book showcasing well-known international watercolor artists), and the United States (Artist, southwest Art, Art Collector, Plein Air, and The Palette magazines).
